Delhi Police arrests main conspirator in shootings at Kapil Sharma’s Canada cafe, recovers Chinese PX-3 pistol
Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested a key conspirator linked to multiple shootings at Kapil Sharma’s cafe in Canada and seized a Chinese PX-3 pistol in a major breakthrough against transnational organised crime networks.
In a major crackdown, Delhi Police Crime Branch on November 28 2025 arrested Bandhu Maan Singh Shekhon, seen as a principal conspirator from the Goldy Dhillon gang. The gang has been accused of orchestrating a series of shootings at the Surrey-based Kap’s Cafe owned by Kapil Sharma. Along with Shekhon’s arrest authorities recovered a Chinese manufactured PX-3 pistol believed to have been used in the attacks.
This marks a significant moment in the investigation after three separate incidents of gunfire at the cafe over the span of four months. The shootings drew international attention because of their cross-border nature and the fact that they were claimed by the Goldy Dhillon gang along with affiliates of the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Videos released on social media showed assailants firing automatic weapons from a moving car at the café.
With this arrest Delhi Police aims to dismantle networks that facilitate violence beyond India’s borders and strengthen collaboration with overseas law enforcement agencies. The seizure of the firearm and arrest of a major suspect underscore growing resolve to tackle organised crime that spans countries.
