Indian Army to Launch ‘Bharat Rannbhoomi Darshan’ Website on Army Day
In a significant initiative to promote patriotism and tourism, the Indian Army will launch a new website, ‘Bharat Rannbhoomi Darshan,’ on January 15, coinciding with Army Day celebrations. The website aims to showcase the Army’s efforts in transforming border areas and historic battlefields into tourist destinations, offering citizens an opportunity to experience the sites of bravery and valour up close.
The Indian Army announced the launch on X, sharing a promotional video highlighting the website’s features. The post described the initiative as a unique blend of patriotism, history, and scenic beauty, allowing visitors to delve into the rich legacy of India’s military history and get a closer look at the Army’s frontiers.
Army Day, observed annually on January 15, commemorates the transfer of command from British to Indian hands in 1949. This year, the Army Day Parade will take place at the Bombay Engineering Group (BEG) and Centre in Pune under the Army’s Southern Command.
Adding an international dimension to the celebrations, a 33-member Nepal Army band, including three women musicians, will participate in the Army Day Parade. This marks a significant gesture of friendship and cultural exchange between the two armies. The participation follows Nepal Army Chief General Ashok Raj Sigdel’s recent visit to India, during which he was conferred the honorary rank of ‘General of the Indian Army’ by President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi.
The ‘Bharat Rannbhoomi Darshan’ initiative is expected to foster patriotism and awareness about India’s military history while boosting tourism in the country’s border regions.
